Dr. Claude Lajeunesse
President, Ryerson University,
Toronto, ON
Dear Dr. Lajeunesse:
On behalf of the more than one thousand CIVILIZED MAJORITY petitioners who urged the Ryerson Administration NOT to renew Mr. Hannon's teaching contract, and on behalf of the overwhelming majority of Canadians who do not belive that a hate-mongering advocate of pedophilia should be teaching in a publicly-funded classroom, this is to express our deepest, heart-felt gratitude for the decision by the Ryerson Administration to terminate Mr. Hannon's employment on your faculty.
You are to be most heartily commended for the wise and sensitive manner with which you have dealt with this potentially explosive issue, providing the sane and civilized leadership which is expected but often not provided by University administrations serving a pluralistic democracy under God.
Egerton Ryerson, a foremost founder of our nation would surely applaud your keeping faith in this matter with the noblest values and traditions to which he was committed and upon which theistic principles Canada is founded and has flourished in peace and prosperity, under God.
Again, our heartiest and deepest appreciation for your leadership in this matter. You've made a most significant contribution thereby, to the good of a bewildered "post-Christian" society. God bless you!
Sincerely, for God and for good,
Ken Campbell
