Toronto Pride Week '98 Coverage - Part Two
In the second half of our Mega Pride Mega Coverage we move into the weekend happenings during Toronto's 1998 Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transsexual and Transgender Pride celebrations.

"Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde"
This guy is everywhere lately - including Toronto, just in time for Pride and its throngs of queer tourists. At the Canadian Stage Theater This link will open in a new browser window until September 5, 1998, Moisés Kaufman's play about our popular Nancy-boy playwright incorporates original trial transcripts, letters and biographies in its depiction of Wilde's persecution for his art, his opinions, and of course for being gay.

Cheap Queers
Lookin' for a cheap date? Well thanks to the Hardworkin' Homosexuals (yes, that's what they call themselves) the change in your pocket will probably get you one or two nights at Buddies This link will open in a new browser window to catch dozens of queer artists at the third annual Cheap Queers.

Pride & Remembrance Run '98
We joined 568 hot, sweaty folks as they pounded the pavement in support of the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives and the Toronto AIDS Memorial during Toronto's Third Annual Pride and Remembrance Run. PFLAG 4th Annual Picnic
We just kept running on Saturday, on over to Riverdale Park to snarf some hot dogs and meet some of the proud mommies and daddies at PFLAG Toronto's This link will open in a new browser window fourth annual picnic. Favorite button, "I love my non-gay parents."

Dyke March 1998
Back downtown, we join-up with about 15,000 grrrls as they take over Yonge Street for the third annual Dyke March This link will open in a new browser window (and in a nice change from past years, it wasn't pissing rain this time).

MCCT "Hero's Gala"
Next we put our fancy duds on and join the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto This link will open in a new browser window as they honor 10 individuals and two organizations for their contributions to the queer community.

Church Street Saturday Night
Back into the cool night air (well, certainly cooler than where the gala was held :-), we join the "Pride Eve" party on Church Street.

MCCT Pride Day Service at Maple Leaf Gardens
As the sun rises over a beautiful Pride Day morning, we join the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto and a few thousand other queer and queer-friendly folks to give thanks.

1998 Toronto Pride Day Parade Highlights
