As might be expected, the calls, emails, faxes and letters that Cable 10% / 10%-Qtv received spanned the entire range of love and hate.
Frightened, questioning teens thanking the show for their first look at "real" gay people and the strength to be themselves. Middle-aged closet cases saying their only contact with queer life was 10%. "Conservative" homos chiding the show for perpetuating stereotypes and being "destructive to gay/lesbian liberation" by showing drag queens and Leathermen. Bears complaining all the guests were too skinny.
Too radical. Not radical enough. More tits. No tits. Too gay. Too dyke. And of course, a sprinkling of "You Queer son of a bitch's all need to be shot in the head!" and "Jesus saves!"
