Female: Yeah, it's regarding a show - I think it's called "10%." I don't think it is appropriate to promote the gay lifestyle - the gay/lesbian lifestyle. I think, yes, more people - the percentage of the people are becoming higher who are becoming gay and lesbian. I think part of that is contributed to the fact that it is being promoted so much, and some people think it is the "in" thing to do. I think that gay and lesbianism is wrong... [cut off]
Female: Hello, I'm a person from Toronto. My name is ___, I was just watching a program about gay people, and I thought that it was wonderful programming. Thank you for presenting these programs that would probably be less than mainstream. I was also watching a program called "She TV," I also found it very interesting, and very important programming. All I can say is just keep up the good work. Thank you very much, bye-bye.
Male: Hello, I am calling about a show called Cable 10%. I think it is absolutely wonderful show. I love it very much, and tonight - which is April 15th - I really enjoyed the astrological part of the show and I hope to see more. I thought it was just an absolute wonderful thing... [cut off]
Male: Hi. I just finished watching a program I had never seen before called Cable 10%. It's 11:30 now on Tuesday night. I found the show very informative and well done, considering that's when I was noticing a number of people in the credits...there was maybe half a dozen people listed over and over again. I think collectively, they've done a fairly good job with the material and the resources that they have. I appreciate if the show will stay on the air.
Female: I'm watching channel 10 and it's just finishing at midnight on Sat. the 7th and really and truly that dyke thing or whatever you call it, is disgusting. I'm very disappointed, because usually your channel 10 is excellent, but that is terrible, with women baring their breasts and everything on the street, I think that you could get something a little better. It's a disgrace to womenhood, thank you.
Male: Hi, I'm a 19 year old student and I just watched the 10% on Cable 10 on Thurs. night and I just want to say it was pathetic I thought. And just stuff like the dating game is just kinky crap that wouldn't be accepted by straight people. And I thought it was pathetic that a local station would play that. I don't have a problem with people that are gay and stuff, but I thought the way they were brought out was just disgusting and a lot of it was just inappropriate for a local station. That's just my view so there you go.
Male: Hi, I was just watching a show called , I think it's called Cable 10%, and I think it's about the gay and lesbian community, and I wanted to indicate that I think it was wonderful and positive that the people at Rogers have the courage to have a show like that. And I would encourage you to give your current support to this show. I think it's very important that people from different communities get a chance to see themselves, and I think that you're doing, and I will encourage others to look at this show and maybe understand about the community that they don't generally have access to. Thanks, Bye.
Female: I think this is really disgusting, putting lesbians on TV. You're all a piece of [expletive] [expletive]. You're [expletives] okay? [expletives] you, all the [expletives] lesbians. You're such [expletive].
Male: Yes, good day. My name is ___. I'm with the Canadian Gay/Lesbian/Bi-sexual Resource Directory. If I could please have someone from Cable 10% give me a call. My number is ___. Thank you very much. Bye.
Male: Hi I just wanted to say that I enjoy the programs on Rogers Cable 10, and keep up the good work, but it's one little disappointment. On Tuesday, being yesterday, I was very upset that Cable 10% wasn't on and Jean Cretien was on. Isn't there a channel where they keep this parliamentary watchamacallit, all this mumbo jumbo garbage, on another channel, on one of the higher channels I think. I've seen it a couple of times. Anyway, I hope this doesn't happen again. I was very disappointed and so were my friends. Other than that, keep up the good work.
Male: "Hello, my name is ___, and I just wanted to let you know I just watched Cable 10% on Tuesday, November 19 at 11:00 o'clock and I just wanted to say that I thought it was an excellent program. Very, very informative. And the segments, especially pertaining to Big Brothers, was very enlightening. I'm quite encouraged to see that gay men are being permitted now to participate in the Big Brothers organization. I, myself, am considering joining up, and I'm glad to see that they've no longer any discrimination. So, that's basically all I have to say. I just want to say that it's an excellent program, and I hope you continue to air it. Thank you. Bye."
Female: "Hi this is a comment for Cable 10%. I was wondering if they could do a show that mainly deals with transsexuals. I'm a transsexual. I'm going for a sex change, and I find that I have -- there's a lot of information that one can't get readily available. And I was wondering if they could do a show giving information such as how one goes about getting the name change, number 1; with regards to endocrinologists in the Toronto area that deal with this situation, even surgeons, although I have already have my surgeon, it might help someone who's going through this. Surgeons who are, shall we say, skilled rather than just people you can go to. How one goes about having all your papers changed to female gender -- and your passport and your drivers license and social insurance number and things like that. And just do a show on transsexuals, because I think we are not sort of lumped in with the heterosexual shows, and the gay shows seem to leave us out. We're kind of caught between a rock and a hard place. So just one show maybe, if they could dedicate to that. Thank you.
Male: Hello, I just recently saw on October 29th, your show for the gay community, Cable 10%. I just wanted to say I'm very pleasantly surprised how far you've come from your humble beginnings to a program that's so polished and streamlined. And I really think that the gay community should do everything possible in its power to support this program, because not only is it entertaining, but its also unique and progressive.
Male: Hi it's Wed. Oct. 23 and I'm just calling to say that Rogers and the program 10% are excellent, keep up the good work. Your right up there with City TV and Fox 29 and I just want to say Liz is so hot on 10%, she turns my crank and keep up the good work guys.
Female: Hi, I guess it's Thursday night at 11:00 o'clock, and you just had the Pride Parade on, and I just wanted to let you guys know I think it was really great. It was my first year, and I think it was great that you aired it. And I think it's really important for people to see our side of the community. And I just can't commend you enough to show that type of thing in the future. Thanks again, Bye.
Male: The program was I guess gay pride or something like that. What bothers me --- and everybody should have the right to do whatever they do --- but we got too far too much emphasis on this. I mean, we got gay pride days, and we got lesbian pride days. What about a pride day for the military? Why have these people taken front and center? Its the same thing with AIDS. We got other diseases that are going on, but it's front and center. In most cases, it's self- induced. I just think you gotta take a look at the programming. These guys get far too much time and attention because it's a trendy thing. Thank You.
Male: Hi, we just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy the 10% show on your channel 10. I know you get a lot of flak from people that don't like it, but we watch it all the time, sometimes even twice the same one. We really enjoyed the coverage you had of the Dyke March and everything. I'm sure you're gonna get lots of calls about the fact that there were some breasts shown, but we enjoyed it. It's ___ and ___. Keep up the good work, and don't let the conservatives get you down. Thanks.
Male: Yes I'm calling about Cable 10%. I really appreciate the new format the half hour shows every Tues. night. It's nice to see a weekly broadcast, the information is current and well reflects the community and I really, really appreciate Rogers donating all of the energy and time and money into this project. On behalf of the gay & lesbian community I want to thank you, good bye.
