Like other Rogers Television programs, 10%-Qtv is largely produced by volunteers. If you have experience in television production - or if you're really eager to learn - we may be able to put you to work for us (for no pay, but think of all the fun you'd have! :-).

If you don't have television experience:

If you don't know a Betacam from a Chimera or a storyboard from a soundboard, then we'd like you to apply to Rogers Television for entry into their volunteer training program. This will help you understand what's involved in television production, and where you could fit in with our show. No promises, but many people have gone on from the Rogers volunteer program to serious careers in the TV biz.

If you do have television experience:

Please email us with some details about your background and what you'd be interested in doing for 10%-Qtv. In general, we're looking for story producers, researchers, videographers and editors. Rogers is a Betacam SP shop, and virtually all our editing is done in Sony linear A/B roll suites.
  The number of hours required really depends on what you're doing for the show. Obviously you'll invest more time if you're producing or editing a piece than if you were working as a grip for a couple hours during shooting. We all have day jobs so it's not like volunteering will consume you or anything :-).
